Nick started guiding at the young age of 18 in Southern Colorado. He has always wanted to guide since he was a young child. Most children dream of becoming a firefighter or policeman, Nick on the other hand dreamt of becoming a fishing guide. Growing up in Colorado and spending his summers on the San Juan Islands in Washington gave him the perfect opportunity to study and learn everything involved in the art of catching fish, especially trout.
After owning a guide service in Gunnison Colorado while getting a college education at Western State, Nick has realized that strictly guiding is truly where he belongs. He has now decided to make guiding a full time occupation in Arizona, Colorado and Alaska. Nick spends the majority of his time guiding for Lees Ferry Anglers due to the mild weather, remarkable scenery, good company and of course the crystal clear cold water of the Colorado River. Nick enjoys guiding all experience levels of fly fisherman and is always thrilled to teach clients the art of fly fishing.
