Dale Gauthier

Dale Gauthier, born in 1974, is a native of Craig, in northwestern Colorado. He was infected with the passion for the outdoors at an early age by his Dad, an avid outdoor enthusiast and a hunting guide in Colorado.

Dale has lived in Flagstaff since 2000. Shortly after he moved there he discovered the fishing at Lees Ferry. Working full time and raising a family kept him busy but he would come up to the Ferry every chance he got. Being a lifelong fishermen, he was able to figure this technical fishery out pretty quickly. One day he was up here fishing with his family and his daughter suggested that she never saw him as happy as he was at Lees Ferry and maybe he should just move here. He took it to heart, changed careers, and now calls Lees Ferry his home

Dale loves interacting with people and helping them enjoy fly fishing and having fun.  He especially enjoys spending time with beginner fishermen hoping he can get them hooked on the sport. Dale enjoys spin fishing just about as much as he does fly fishing and guides for both.

In the winter months, when not fishing the Ferry, Dale operates a hunting guide service, Arizona Mountain Outfitters. See his website here:  http://www.amoutfitters.com

I fished with Dale on 5/12/12 and had the most productive fly fishing experience of my life. I have fished all over the country and my trip with Dale and Lees Ferry anglers was top notch. Dale not only put us on fish from the start, he worked with my inexperienced guest and had him landing fish on a regular basis after only a couple hours. We not only caught nice sized rainbows, we landed over 200 fish on our 1st day. Thanks again! I will definitely be back.
